What to Expect: The Dental Bonding Process

Consultation

At your consultation, our Rochelle dentist will need to examine your teeth to determine if you’re a good candidate for dental bonding.

Shade Guide

We will match the shade of the resin to your natural teeth for a seamless appearance.

Etching

After roughening your enamel, a conditioning liquid will be applied to etch the tooth and help the bonding agent stick.

Bonding

Composite resin is applied in layers and exposed to UV light to harden.

Final Shaping

After curing the resin, it will be fully hardened and we can perform some additional shaping to ensure that the tooth is the right size and shape.
